You can’t go back and change the beginning. But you can start where you are and change the ending.

About me and how I can support you

As an aerospace engineer I have experienced the normal craziness of a highly demanding environment. In addition to my normal job, I was involved in facilitating trainings on topics around work-life-balance and mental health within my team. Over time it became clear to me that I preferred working with people over my engineering tasks and I dared to change my field of work. Starting with nonviolent communication and mindfulness, I found my home in Systemic Therapy.
My own experiences with trauma, and the wealth of experience I have gained from living an “unconventional life”, provide the foundation for my professional training as a therapist. Today, I support adults in overcoming life’s small and large obstacles – regardless of whether their roots lie in the present or the past.

Systemic therapy for private individuals
Mastering personal changes
Systemic therapy and counseling view individuals as part of the social system and the relationships within which they operate (e.g., family, couple, team, society). It focuses on the patterns, rules, roles, and values within these systems. Systemic therapy is solution- and resource-oriented. It focuses on individuals’ strengths, abilities, and progress, and is guided by their goals to develop collaborative solution strategies.
From the perspective of systemic therapy and counseling, problems are unsuccessful attempts to solve another problem, and even symptoms that are supposedly “ill” are an understandable reaction to external and internal circumstances. Conflicts or symptoms, or the current problem itself, can be resolved if the underlying issue can be addressed differently.
In my practice for systemic therapy and counselling, I am happy to support you in dealing better with personal or professional uncertainties and acting from a secure position, especially in times of upheaval.

Process
Please feel free to contact me by email or phone. In a brief phone call, I’ll discuss how I can support you. In our first session, we’ll work on the following questions, among others:
- What is your current situation, and what brings you to me?
- What do you want to change? And what absolutely needs to stay the same?
- What could be the first, concrete steps toward the desired change?
- Can you imagine working together, and if so, when would you like the next appointment to take place?
Between sessions, you’ll use the time to implement newly developed ideas, try out new behaviors, or simply engage with yourself differently. In our next appointment, we’ll discuss initial positive changes as well as potential new challenges. If necessary, I’ll help you redefine your expectations, ideas, or new resolutions.
Consulting Focuses
- Overwork (burnout or burnout prevention)
- Sleep disorders
- Depressed mood or depression
- Anxieties or worries
- (Life) crises
- Personality development
- Trauma – developmental trauma, single-event trauma, etc.
Existing clients have the option of participating in online sessions if this is not possible otherwise. The initial consultation will take place in person at the practice.
I work in accordance with the ethic guidelines of the Systemic Society.
Scope
I can work with you to tailor the number of sessions to your needs – because every consultation and every therapy session is different. Appointments are arranged individually. Sessions take place at intervals of one week to several weeks, depending on your needs, and last 50 minutes.
Some consultations only last 2-3 sessions, while longer consultation processes can include 10-15 sessions over a period of several months. You are also welcome to define a maximum number of sessions in the first session, and together we will develop a goal that can be achieved within that time.
