MBSR Course | Mindfulness for Kids

MBSR Course

MBSR stands for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and was created by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. The eight week course includes 8 weekly meetings of 2.5 hours and a Day of Mindfulness (whole day on a weekend). The participant learns and practices the principles of mindfulness meditation. After completing the course, the participant can practice mindfulness independently and further develop the learned skills on meditation retreats or in meditation groups.

Please contact me under angelina[at]mind-and-heart.com if you are interested and we can schedule the pre-course interview. The interview is an opportunity for both parties to get to know each other and to check wether a MBSR course is the right thing for you in your current life situation.

If you are currently in an acute life crisis, participating in a MBSR course might be too strenuous.

Get in touch to register your child for this course.

It’s easy to spend our time absorbed in the past or the future. And in our fast-paced performance-oriented society children learn early to get lost there, too. Children can benefit from mindfulness practice by learning to tune into themselves and whatever is present in this moment, which is the only place where we can shape our lives and connect with who we are and what we need.

This course will give an introduction to mindfulness practices and encourage the children to get in touch with their body, mind, and feelings.

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift. That’s why it is called present.” – Grand Master Oogway (Kung Fu Panda)

Online Mindfulness Meditation

* It is important to me that mindfulness is accessible to all. If money is not a real issue for you, please consider the upper end of the course fee scale. If you have to save up for this course and have to think twice about every Euro you spend, the lower course fee scale is relevant for you. If that is still too much, please feel free to contact me and I’m sure we will find a solution. In each course I can accept one person who cannot pay the minimum fee.
